Doug rhymes with Hug… and with so many other things

Let me introduce you to my wonderful friend Doug Koyama. Doug is such an important person in the BC festival world and to so many festival organizers, performers, and audience members, that I thought he deserved his very own post :-).

I first met Doug at the campground by the Horsefly River on the first day of Arts on the Fly 2012. My camera and I loved him right away. Since then, I’ve snapped hundreds of shots of Doug. Here are a few.

Doug rhymes with Hug…

Doug also rhymes with friendship…

And it rhymes with loving and caring…

It rhymes with sharing…

It also rhymes with inspiring others and experimenting…

That includes oven racking 🙂 …

Doug rhymes with beauty, joy, and happy silliness…

It rhymes with volunteering, MC’ing, and promoting music festivals…

With serenity…

It rhymes with making music and looping…

And it also rhymes with listening to others…

It rhymes with travel and adventure… (here’s his ride)

And, perhaps weirdly, it rhymes with technology… but that’s because it rhymes with connectedness in all its forms and shapes 🙂
